Ok... I have been reading about the election manure... I think they have gone beyond slinging mud... they are slinging poo.  One of the things I just read was about forcing everyone to buy health insurance or pay a fine.  As I was reading the comments.. I started to get pissed and at the apparent stupidity or the oxymoronic opinions of people.  One of the comments was that all republicans want to do is make the war industrial complex richer.  We should be spending all our $$ at home.  Fine all well and good... but what about protecting ourselves?  How about all the technological and medical advancements that a 'war' brings?  hmmmm?  I will give you a couple of advancements that you all use everyday that are a result of the 'military industrial complex'.

1) Microwave ovens... developed as an offshoot from the development of RADAR in WW2... after the war a new use was developed because the company wanted to keep making $$ and stay in business ( isn't that the main gist of a company?)

2) Computers... the first computer was a vacuum tube monster and was used to compute artillery shell trajectories.  mainly to find out if you fire off a round at a certain elevation where it will land ( useful for trying to hit something)

There are numerous advances in medicine as a result in wars.. i don't have time to look them up and cite them but use your brain unless you have been brainwashed by the HilObamTedPelosi liberals.. then your brain has been rendered pretty much ineffectual.

If universal health care is such a good thing.. then tell me why many canadians come 'south of the boarder' for specialized treatment... hmmm?

One comment was that profit should be removed form medicine then it will be cheaper... problem.. if you remove profit then you remove the drive for innovation and advances.  After all it says right on our money "In God We Trust" unfortunately I think that most of our society had equated God with money... ( well its no wonder .. after all tele-evangilist seem to always need it so by the new education and modern standards  God = money.   I am not advocating that everyone is under this misconception..but in a capitalistic society there is the drive to make more efficiently and that leads to innovation.

Now there are certain candidates that want to use the tax system to redistribute the money ... sounds communistic don't it?  that will remove a lot of the drive and spirit of advancement that we are so well known for.  It will break the spirit of millions of Americans.   And for people who don't like an opinion of a certain talk radio or news program... guess what.. there is a knob or button that allows you to change the station or even turn it off!! exercise your right to not listen and not to DEPRIVE me of my rights of wanting to listen/watch a show.  Freedom of choice... look it up sometime.
